KAS FITZPATRICK ART
ABOUT ME
After watching too many You Tube videos I purchased a lot of canvases and paints (many more than needed!), set up in a disused stable and started throwing paint out of cups.
The results were rubbish, but eventually, after about three months, I started to see the results I actually wanted. In the process I learned that ‘paint pouring’ is much more difficult than it looks in videos and acrylic paint is very difficult to remove from clothing and passing small dogs.
Now I’m loving experimenting with various techniques and being able to produce paintings that I think can be described as ‘fluid art’. Some of the paintings are embellished by being hand painted, which is time consuming, but the results are very satisfying. I joined Art Is For All in Gravesend at the end of 2023. This means that I now have a studio, a shop to show my work in, and a space for visitors, which opens up many exciting opportunities.
